Karma Shedrup Choeling is a Buddhist center within the Tibetan Buddhist Karma Kagyu lineage.
The center in Denmark is beautifully located with sea view on the countryside, 4 hours by train or car from Copenhagen and Hamburg.
The center's spiritual leader is H. H. 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje. The spiritual guidance is led by the Venerable lamas Shangpa Rinpoche and Dupsing Rinpoche.
Claus and Eva Hermansen are living at the center and responsible for daily matters. Eva is also running an organic horticultural and a vegetarian restaurant. At the center there is regular courses and lectures about meditation, buddhism and related subjects. There is a stupa blessed by Shamar Rinpoche in 2004, and a shrine hall which was inaugurated by Shangpa Rinpoche in 2009.

We welcome you to join our programs, here some practical information:

Accommodation
We offer opportunity for accommodation in simple comfortable wooden cabins. We have a limited number of cabins, both in single and double room size. Each has beds and simple furniture. Few of these have attached bathroom.
In the main house we provide opportunity to sleep in small dormitories.
During outdoor season many participants choose to stay in their own tents or auto camper. We have plenty green lawns and space.

You need to bring your own equipment such as quilt, sleeping bag, linens, towels etc.
We ask our participants to help with minor daily tasks like cleaning and preparing meals.
If you need internet and wifi connection, we advise you to bring your own equipment; our center does not provide internet.

Food
We cook fully vegetarian organic grown food. Many ingredients even grown at our own fields. Please notice that we are not able to provide any individual dietary requirements such as diabetic, vegan or gluten intolerance.
