Candraprabha Bodhisattva, or Gakkō Bosatsu in Japanese, (Japanese: 月光菩薩) is a Bodhisattva often seen with Nikkō Bosatsu (Sunlight), as the two siblings serve Yakushi or the Medicine Buddha. Statues of Nikkō and Gakko closely resemble each other and are commonly found together, sometimes flanking temple doors. They are also known in mainland Asia, but as devas rather than bodhisattvas.
