Chief Wise
賢首菩薩 ( Jpn Genju-bosatsu)

    A Bodhisattva who appears in the Flower Garland Sutra. In the chapter of the Sutra that bears his name, Bodhisattva Chief Wise, replying to Bodhisattva Manjushri's wish, speaks about the benefits of belief and those of a Mind that aspires for Enlightenment. In this context, he says, "Faith is the basis of the way and the mother of Blessings."
