Gen-la Dekyong opens the new center in Stockholm

Last night, Gen-la Dekyong cut the ribbon and opened the new KMC Stockholm. Here's what they said:

"After many months of joyful, hard work the day finally arrived. The center was packed with over 120 very happy people - local Sangha, the lead Contractor, the Architect, visitors from all the Nordic centers and beyond, together with many curious local people - all excited to see the center finally open!

"As Gen-la Dekyong said, the opening ceremony was all about joy. Opening the door to Buddha’s Pure Land, inviting all the Buddhas and delighting in what is happening for the people of Sweden.

"Through the extraordinary compassionate vision of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, a beautiful Nordic center has appeared - the perfect home for Modern Kadampa Buddhism in Sweden, with teachings and books in Swedish to touch people’s hearts directly.

"For many generations to come, people will visit this beautiful center to find scientific methods to accomplish the happy meaningful life everyone wishes for.

"Thank you Venerable Geshe-la for this deeply meaningful gift to the people of Sweden. And thank you Gen-la for leading us so joyfully into this representation of Buddha's Pure Land right in the heart of Stockholm."
