Katyayaniputra
迦多衍尼子 (n.d.) (Skt; Jpn Kataennishi)

A monk of the Sarvastivada school in India around the second century B.C.E. Born to a Brahman family, he later converted to Buddhism. A great scholar, he wrote The Treatise on the Source of Wisdom, a principal doctrinal text of the school, and contributed greatly to the systematization of the school's doctrine. He is often regarded as the founder of the Sarvastivada school.
