Lamrim Translations in English

Translations of the eighteen Jangchup Lamrim commentaries into English will be listed here as they become available, including a bibliography of published translations, links to on-line translations, and translations in PDF-format for download.

Please note that the English texts below have not been translated or checked for accuracy by the Jangchup Lamrim Teaching Organizing Committee.

Preparing your texts for the 2015 teachings

During the 2012 and 2013 Jangchup Lamrim Teachings His Holiness completed teachings on 13 of the 18 texts. During the 2014 Jangchup Lamrim Teachings, His Holiness began two texts (# 15 and 17). During the 2015 session of Jangchup Lamrim Teachings, His Holiness completed all of the five remaining Jangchup Lamrim texts.

  • NEW: His Holiness was requested by the late Geshe Tsulga to give a commentary on Arya Nagarjuna’s Praise to Satisfying Sentient Beings – A Commentary on the Awakening Mind, during the 2015 Jangchup Lamrim Teachings. An English/ Chinese translation of this text is available here. Please note that this translation has not been compiled or checked for accuracy by the Jangchup Lamrim Teaching Organizing Committee.
  • NEW: At the conclusion of the 2015 Jangchup Lamrim Teachings, His Holiness bestowed the Sixteen Drops of Kadam Initiation (organized by the Jangchup Lamrim Teaching Organizing Committee) from 30-31st December 2015.  Materials related to this initiation can be found here.
  • NEW & UPDATED 19 November: Prior to the Jangchup Lamrim Teachings, His Holiness gave one day of teachings on 19th December on Dharmakirti’s Commentary on Pramana-samuccaya (tsema namdrel) at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.  A recently updated English translation of Chapter Two of this text is available here.
  • An English Prayer Book containing many of the prayers recited daily during the Jangchup Lamrim Teachings is available here. This prayer book contains English and Tibetan-phonetic versions of most of the prayers included in the Tibetan-language Jangchup Lamrim Prayer Book.  Please note that the English Prayer Book has not been compiled or checked for accuracy by the Jangchup Lamrim Teaching Organizing Committee.
