In comparison to Lake Manasarovar, the lake to the west of Manasarovar, Rakshas Tal, has been treated far less generously. The rakshas were a class of demon, so naturally the name of the lake implies a place haunted by demons. In Hindu myth specifically, the lake is the place where the most notorious demon named Ravana did penance to propitiate Shiva. Some people even have claimed to detect a sinister quality about the lake, but many people think it's just as beautiful as Manasarovar. The lake is about 140 square miles in area, as opposed to the 200 square miles of Manasarovar. It is at a slightly lower than Manasarovar, too.
