 The Accomplishment-Text
The Great Red Ganapati
(Tsog-Dag Mar-Chen)

Generation of Refuge and Common Bodhicitta

In the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha
I take refuge until Enlightenment is reached.
Through deeds of Giving and other Perfections,
May I attain Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings. [ 3 times ]

Self-Generation

[ Out of Uncommon Bodhicitta – wishing to be a Buddha immediately so as to instantly engage in liberating all mother beings from sufferings in samsara – instantaneously, oneself arises in the form of one’s Yidam. Alternatively, one may utilize a Generation Text of one’s Yidam. ]

A complete or succinct sadhana of Butadamara Vajrapani or your Yidam is performed.

One visualizes the Seed Syllable in one’s heart surrounded by the mantra and one says the following mantra to clear obscurations: OM SUMBHA-NI SUMBHA HUM HUM PHAT. OM GRHNA GRHNA HUM HUM PHAT. OM GRHNAPAYA GRHNAPAYA HUM HUM PHAT. OM ANAYA HO BHAGAWAN VAJRA HUM HUM PHAT.

Front-Generation

From my heart, rays of light issues forth, dissolving all outer appearances and all, then, are absorbed into oneself.

OM SVABHAVA SHUDDA SARVA DHARMA SVABHAVA SHUDDHO HAM

In front of me, spontaneously, in a mountain cave of vaidurya ( blue sapphire ) rock, is an eight-petaled red lotus, on its center, a wealth-owner as a blue rat vomiting all kinds of jewels, and upon this, a red GAH, which transforms into glorious Ganapati (Tsogs-kyi bdag-po, ‘Lord of the Assemblies’), red and elephant-faced, with a sharp white tusk and three eyes. His black hair is tied on top of his head and marked on top with a wish-granting gem and he wears a diadem of red silk. Of his twelve arms, the six right hands from top to bottom hold an axe, a arrow, a hook, a vajra, a sword, and a throwing spear; the six left hands holding from top to bottom: a pounder, a bow, a khatvanga, a blood-filled skull, a skull full of great flesh and a shield. The vajra and skull of blood are held at his heart and the rest are held stretched out. He wears a skirt of various silks and is adorned with all kinds of jewel ornaments. He abides with his left leg extended in ardha-paryanka dancing posture amid a dazzlement of red light-rays on top of the blue rat.

On his forehead is the white syllable OM, at his throat the red AH, and at his heart a blue HUNG.
Amid his heart is a red GA.

From one’s heart ( as one’s Yidam or Butadamara Vajrapani ), light rays invoke Ganapati who resides at the GodsRealm of the Thrity-Three who returns as a multitude of Ganeshas who are absorbed into the Front Generation. While keeping this visualization, ring the bell and recite the following mantra as much as one can:

GAGA SIDDHI SIDDHI SARVA ARTA ME PAR
SADDHAYA HUNG HUNG ZA ZA SOHA

Merging of the visualizedWisdom Beings” into the “Pledge Being” ( the Front Generation ):
ZA HUNG BAM HO

Offering of the Seat: OM PADMA KAMALAYA TUM SAMAYA HO

Consecration of Ganesha
Again, from one’s heart, light issues, invoking the Five Consecration Buddhas with the “drawing forth” mudra: OM VAJRA SAMAZA

One now requests the blessings of the vase and says:
OM ABHI KINZA TU MAM SARVA TATHAGATA

Upon hearing this, the Tathagatas say: OM VAJRI BAWA ABHI SHEKA HUNG, while pouring the consecrated water over one’s head. The water fills the body, purifying all obscurations, and flows over the top where Buddha Amitabha appears.

Offering
OM GANAPATI ARGHAM PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI PADYAM PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI PUSHPE PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI DHUPE PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI ALOKE PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI GANDHE PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI NAIVEDYE PARTIZA SOHA
OM GANAPATI SHABDA PARTIZA SOHA

Praise
Sprung from non-dual Wisdom of
The vajras of the Conquerors’ Body, Speech, Mind,
Powerful Gatherer, Lord of the Assemblage: Ganapati.
Chief of Obstructers: worship and praise!
Please accept these offerings of flowers and sweets,
Lord of the Worldly Protectors, please bestow the siddhis!

Mantra Recitation
OM AH GA HUNG SWAHA
OM BA RA KA TA YA SWAHA
OM WA KA TE KA TAM KA TA BINDHA HUNG PHAT SWAHA

( One then recites the short mantra as many times as possible, while holding the same visualization as with the longer mantra: )
OM BHRUM GANAPATIYE SWAHA

Requesting prayer:
Please bestow all common and uncommon siddhis to all sentient beings and myself.

Concluding practice:
Ganapati as visualized in front may be stabilized within holy images with “Om Supra Tishta Vajra Ye Soha” or dispatched back to His Pure Abode with “Om Vajra Muh”.

Dedication
Due to this merit,
May I soon attain the Enlighten-State of Ganesha,
So that I may be able to liberate all beings,
Into this Enlighten State.

Just as the blessed Buddhas of the past have dedicated,
Just as the blessed Buddhas presently existing is dedicating,
Just as the blessed Buddhas of the future will dedicate,
So do I humbly learn, follow and dedicate likewise.

May the precious Bodhi-Mind
Not yet born may rise and grow;
May that born have no decline,
But increase forever more.
