Second, when performing the daily practice, it is excellent if you can arrange a shrine for the Noble Lady. If you cannot, it will suffice to visualize it. Lay out the mandala and the offerings as mentioned before, and perform the refuge, bodhicitta, gathering the accumulations and consecration of offerings, beginning with ‘In the
sky before me...’ and so forth. Since it is not necessary in this case to make the general offering to the Three Jewels, continue the chant from ‘Instantaneously perfected through mere recollection, I appear vividly as the Noble Lady Tārā’ and so forth. Perform thrice the set of reciting the offering, mandala and the Praise;3 after
the seventh recitation of the Twenty-One Verses of Homage conclude by reciting the Praise’s excellent benefits. If you wish, you can perform the request for the accomplishment of your wishes, beginning with ‘Noble Exalted Lady, together with your retinue’ and so forth. If not, this is also alright. Then chant The front visualization
melts into light and so forth. Make apology for mistakes, as before. The request to depart is not necessary, in this case. Complete the practice with the dedication of merit and the prayer of auspiciousness, chanting ‘The deity is inseparable from my own mind’ and so forth.

Dissolution
lha dang rangsem yermé pa
As the deity is indivisible from my own mind,
chöying nyukmé ngang du zhak
I settle within the original state of dharmadhātu.
Thus, foster the view of the true nature.
Dedication and Aspiration
gewa di yi nyurdu dak
Through this virtue may I quickly
pakma drolma drup gyur né
accomplish the state of Noble Tārā.

Each and every being, no exception,
dé yi sa la göpar shok
may I bring to that same state.
Dedicate the merit and make noble aspirations.
Prayer of Auspiciousness

sampé dön kün tokmé tsol dzepa
unimpeded, every wish you do fulfill.
jetsün drolma gyelwa sé ché kyi
Noble Tārā, conquerors and offspring,
mindrel tukjé kyongwé tashi shok
bestow the auspiciousness of being forever nurtured by your compassion.
With that, utter verses of auspiciousness and toss flowers.
This ritual liturgy was arranged by Jamgön Guṇa.8
The main sādhana was translated according to the wish of Kyapjé Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, by Erik Pema Kunsang at Nangkyi Gompa, Spring 2002, with the help of Marcia Binder Schmidt, Graham Sunstein, Michael Tweed, and Shenpen Lhamo. It was further improved at Rangjung Yeshe Gomdé, USA, 2007 with the help of Lama Sherab Dorje and Joanne Larson. It was later reworked by Lea Ortet and the Khenpos at Pulihari, Nepal. The Seven-Branch Offering is from the Zangchö Mönlam, translated by Rigpa Translations. Additional edits were added by Stefan Mang. And the whole translation was finalized by Marcia, 2020, after the Venerable Sean Price looked at it. Verses marked with an * were translated by Lhasey Lotsawa. Phonetics and spelling adjusted to Lhasey Lotsawa Style.
↑ The full title of the practice is The Essence of the Two Accumulations: The Ritual for the Elaborate and Condensed Outer Practice together with its Empowerment (dgongs gter sgrol ma'i zab tig las/ phyi sgrub rgyas bsdus rig gtad dang bcas pa'i cho ga tshogs gnyis snying po). Since this arrangement of the practice does not
include the elaborate version of the ritual and the empowerment, they have been omitted from the title here. ↑ For the ‘daily practice’ Jamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche merely gives the explanation below. Following his instruction, here, we are providing the full outline of the daily practice.
↑ This implies that as in the elaborate practice, 1) the offering and mandala is recited followed by two repetitions of the Praise; 2) the offering and mandala is repeated followed by three repetitions of the Praise; 3) the offering and mandala is repeated followed by seven repetitions of the Praise.
↑ Tib. dge slong ma dpa' mos mdzad pa'i yan lag bdun pa. This seven-branch offering, found in many Tārā sadhanas, is said to have been written by the famous nun Gelongma Palmo, founder of the Nyungné tradition.
↑ Tib. padma’i bkod pa. Skt. Padmavyūha. According to Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche the ‘Lotus Arrayed Realm’ is the realm of Turquoise Leaves (zhing g.yu lo bkod pa) – the pure-land suffused ny the compassionate capacity of Noble Ārya Tārā.
↑ Here, the ‘Magical Net’ (sgyu ‘phrul drwa ba) is a collective term for the manifestations of enlightenment who tame whoever needs to be tamed in whichever way is necessary.
↑ As Jamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche says in his practice instructions, this prayer is optional.
↑ That is, Jamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche.
