The Vajrapani Bodhisattva mantra (Om Vajrapani Hum) is one of the Buddhist mantras often recited by Tibetan monks to banish evil spirits and demonic disturbances during spiritual practice.

Vajrapani Bodhisattva is a Bodhisattva who symbolizes the enlightened power of the Buddhas, but is very little known to many people, as in Vietnam he is often called Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva.

The Vajrapani Bodhisattva mantra is merely his name, meaning “thunderbearer”, framed between the mysterious syllables Om and Hum. This mantra enables us to access the powerful energy that Vajrapani symbolizes.

For the meditator, he is a means to fulfill his fierce determination to conquer the challenges and troubles that spiritual practitioners often encounter.

Anyone who follows the Buddha Dharma can be protected by the Vajrapani Bodhisattva, whose mantra makes us invincible against any demonic attacks or harassment. If you regularly recite this mantra, you will gain more merit than you already have. If you rely on Vajradhara Bodhisattva like Shakyamuni Buddha, you will surely be protected from all obstacles.

No devil can hurt you, all diseases will be cured, your work will be favorable and lucky. All your wishes will be fulfilled. Therefore, the benefits of practicing this ritual are not beyond description, nothing can be a nuisance to those who practice it.

You should find a quiet place to chant, to go into deep meditation and chant mantras. Go as deep as you can, as still as possible, to a level where there is almost no awareness of your surroundings. That’s the level to cast mantra most effectively.
