Life
Neten Chokling was born August 10, 1973 in a modest family in Wandipodzong, in Bhutan. He was recognized by the 16th Karmapa as well as Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as being the reincarnation of Neten Chokling Pema Gyurme. Karmapa named him Gyurme Dorje. At the age of 7, he was taken to his monastery, Pema Ewam Chögar Gyurme Ling, in Bir, and enthroned by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in Clement Town at the Mindrolling Monastery.
