Three authentics (Wyl. tshad ldan gsum) — the three authentic factors which must come together in order for the introduction to the nature of mind to take place:

  1. the authentic blessings of the master (bla ma byin rlabs tshad ldan)
  2. authentic devotion of the student (slob ma mos gus tshad ldan)
  3. authentic instructions of the lineage (brgyud pa'i gdams ngag tshad ldan)
