Four results of the Hinayana path —
- stream-enterer – one who has entered the stream leading to nirvana
- once-returner – one who must return once more to the desire realm in order to abandon the remaining discards
- non-returner – once who no longer needs to take rebirth in the desire realm in order relinquish discards
- arhat – one who has completely overcome the enemy of the disturbing emotions and is therefore worthy of praise
