Kuda Caves are located in small village Kuda, on the north eastern side of the northern arm of the Murud-Janjira in south Konkan, India.

This 15 Buddhist caves are small simple excavated by first century B.C.

The verandah of Chaitya has several reliefs of the Buddha.

The Buddha is carved is carved with symbol of lotus, wheel and Nagas.

Later in 5th or 6th century Mahayana took over this caves and added their sculptures.

First cave has ancient writing on it wall. Sixth cave is adorned with elephants outside.

The 30 inscriptions describe the donation by lay Buddhist and Buddhist monk as well.

Other donor include iron monger, a banker, a gardner, a writer, physician, a flower vendor and a minister.
