Divakara
地婆訶羅 (612 or 613–687) (Skt; Jpn Jibakara)
Also known by the Chinese name Jih-chao. A monk of central India who went to China around 676 and engaged in the translation of Buddhist texts at T'ai-yüan-ssu and Hung-fu-ssu temples in Ch'ang-an.
He produced the Chinese translations of eighteen texts in thirty-four volumes.
They include the "Entering the Dharma Realm" chapter of the Flower Garland Sutra, the Secret Solemnity Sutra, the Clarification of Consciousness Sutra, and the Correct and Vast Great Adornment Sutra.
Fa-tsang (643-712), the third patriarch of the Chinese Flower Garland (Hua-yen) school, used Divakara's translation of the "Entering the Dharma Realm" chapter to supplement a deficiency in the old translation.
