Amritodana
[甘露飯王] (Skt; Pali Amitodana; Jpn Kanrobonno)
A younger brother of Shakyamuni's father, King Shuddhodana. Amritodana's father was Simhahanu, the king of the Shakya tribe, who had four sons and one daughter. The eldest son was Shuddhodana, and Amritodana was the youngest son. According to one account, Amritodana was the father of Ananda and Devadatta, and according to another, he was the father of Aniruddha and Mahanama.
