Universal Worthy Sutra
普賢経 (Chin P’u-hsien-ching; JpnFugen-kyo )
The abbreviated title of the Sutra on How to Practice Meditation on the Bodhisattva Universal Worthy. Also abbreviated as the Meditation on [[Universal Worthy] Sutra]]. A one-volume Sutra that describes the beneficent Power of Bodhisattva Universal Worthy and how to meditate on this Bodhisattva. It was translated into Chinese in the early fifth century by Dharmamitra, a Monk from Kashmir. Regarded as an epilogue to the Lotus Sutra, it contains a reference to the Lotus Sutra and Shakyamuni's preaching of that Sutra. According to the Universal Worthy Sutra's description, Shakyamuni Buddha preached this Sutra at Great Forest Monastery in Vaishalithree months before his Death.
