The Jatakamala (Tib. skye pa'i rabs kyi rgyud) 'Garland of Jàtakas' is a selection of Jataka tales in Sanskrit by the 4th century CE monk Aryassra. It is widely considered one of the greatest masterpieces of Sanskrit literature. Many of the carved panels on the great ståpa of Borobudur on the island of Java in Indonesia depict scenes from the Jàtakamàlà.
