one flavor (eka-rasa, 一味).
(1) All dharmas are in the one flavor of true suchness.
(2) The Buddha’s teachings of the Three Vehicles are all in the one flavor of the One Vehicle.
As the one appearance of dharmas is likened to the earth, the one flavor of the Buddha’s teachings is likened to the rain nourishing all the plants on earth.
