five corruptions:

1) The turbidity of views. This is when incorrect, perverse thoughts and ideas are predominant.
(2) The turbidity of passions. This is when all kinds of transgressions are exalted.
(3) The turbidity of the human condition. This is when people are usually dissatisfied and unhappy.
(4) The turbidity of the life span. This is when the human life span as a whole decreases.
(5) The turbidity of the world-age. This is when war and natural disasters are rife.
