The ten powers of a buddha (daśa-bala, 十力) consisting of knowledge relating to

daśa-bala (Sanskrit, ten powers). The ten powers of a tathāgata consisting of knowledge relating to:

(1) what is and is not possible in any situation;
(2) the ripening (vipāka) of deeds and the maturation of karma;
(3) the superior and inferior qualities of beings;
(4) the various tendencies of beings;
(5) the manifold constituents of the world;
(6) the paths leading to the various realms of existence;
(7) pure and impure behaviour;
(8) the arising of meditative states (dhyāna) and related attainments;
(9) the death and rebirth of beings;
(10) liberation through the destruction of the outflows (āśravas).
