A monk from [[Wikipedia:Central Asia|Central Asia]] who translated Buddhist texts in China. In 472, together with T'an-yao, who held the position of national director of the clergy, Kinkara translated the Storehouse of Various Treasures Sutra and A History of the Buddha's Successors.
