Vajra throne

Vajra thrones are very rare. There have only been three identified in the past 2-3,000 years and they were all in Asia. Shakyamuni Buddha had His vajra throne or bodhimanda China, and Guru Padmasambhava had his vajra throne at Kathok Monastery in Tibet. A vajra throne is either a place where a very great holy being became enlightened or a place empowered by such a holy being where others can become liberated. When the practice of the Great Perfection of Vajrayana reaches the highest state, even non-sentient dharma objects can emit rainbow lights that soar into the sky.
