This is our cat Juckie. To be more true, he is Juckie the second, Juckie II. Why? Because in Estonia I had Juckie the First. When I came to Australia and we took the cat he got the same name as a cat in Estonia. And sad news is that Juckie the Second died today. He was sick more then one month, Mary even took her once to the doctor . But the doctor was unable to determine what's wrong with him. We did,nt have money to take him to another doctor and today we found him dead, Before it was 3 buddhist who lived here, from today its just Benny and me. Our third friend left us.
I do,nt know what to say. He was always with us and everywhere. When I lived in Perth two month he was together with me there. Then I moved back to the countryside and Juckie the second with me. He liked it here. So big territory for him to rule, He was together with us when we made offerings, when Benny was looking for the UFO-s. He slept with me in my bed.
He was eating together with us. He was always around. Today Benny went look for him earlier and could,nt find Juckie II. Later Mary found him dead in courtyard. When I returned back from Myanmar we had so many mouse,All house was filled with them. And one friend of ours said that mice can eat up the books, First we were looking in GumTree to find some sort of device what could keep mouse away. We even found announcement what was very promising,We met the guy who was selling them somewhere in Perth and he sold us the device.
It worked on battery's. But no use of it because it did,nt scare the mice Benny even took some photos when this promising device was working and mice were eating om neiberhood. So we decided to take a non-Buddhist step and take a cat to scare them .We looked again in GumTree and found a cat. He was white. We drove to the city, He was in shelter for the animals. What was amazing he was sitting alone in cage and looked at us as he was prince or some sort of royalty. Very calm and peaceful manner.
We took him to the countryside. First couple of hours he was hiding himself as he was afraid that someone will eat him up. But later he came to the kitchen and from this moment he was always together with us.
We bought for him a collar with the bell because otherwise he could catch the birds but with the bell it was impossible because birds could hear and see him.
First week when he arrived we could hear every night he was fighting with mice.We read lot of mantras behalf of poor mice but soon it stopped and no more mice in our house.I thought how altruistic we really were because we helped Juckie to get read of the mice. How much or how big Buddhist we really are, because I cared more about my books then mice.
When the mice disappeared Juckie get really lazy. He even did,nt bother to stay on his feet. Almost he was always half asleep somewher around. The same time he noticed everything. Today we lost him. So no more Juckie II.He gave us so many warm moments just because he was there. Today was the last day for him here in sansara incarnation as a cat.
How,ll be his next life, who knows. We hope that it,ll be better but its just our imagination and wishful thinking. Wishful thinking is the formation of beliefs and making decisions according to what might be pleasing to imagine instead of by appealing to evidence, rationality, or reality.
But what is reality for us? When you look at Wikipedias explanation: Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined. In a wider definition, reality includes everything that is and has been, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. A still more broad definition includes everything that has existed, exists, or will exist.
3)Material form (Ruppa) –This includes body, sex and seat of consciousness. The body-decade is composed of the Four Primary Elements –Extension, cohesion, heat, motion (Pathavi, apo, tejo, vayo)-conditioned reality 4) Nirvana (Nibbaana) – Nirvana is an unconditioned reality. All other three are conditioned realities. How much Juckie understood it nobody knows because he did,nt articulate .He was just friendly and that was enough for him.
Here you can see how Juckie is using the moment in full scale. You can see two persons are in sleep. But Juckie are little bit more into the state of sleep because he knows how to enjoy the moment more. Cats sleep a lot , and whats going on in our brain when we sleep? Why we need to sleep at all? Brain is a organ whats growing bigger and bigger, I mean during the evolution it has happened so. How many of us use our brain in full scale?
Normally human body makes the organs what we dont use always smaller. I,m sure many of us dont use our brain intensively but anyway it grows bigger and bigger and we cant do anything about it.Brain growth is against our own will. Why so?
Maybe someone else is using our brain when we are in deep sleep? What's about Juckies brain? We buried him today and I noticed even cats die as it described in Tibetan book of dead. Its strange that Tibertan culture new it so well how people and other sentient beings leave this world.
