Daitokuji ; Rinzai Zen monastery in Kyoto founded by the great Zen master Daitō Kokushi in 1383. One of its sub-temples is Ryōsen-an (q.v.) of which Mrs Ruth Sasaki (q.v.) was ‘Head Monk’. The monastery is famous for its gardens and its collection of Bst. Art.
