<poem> Kinkara [吉迦夜] (n.d.) (Skt; Jpn Kikkaya)

   A monk from Central Asia who translated Buddhist texts in China. In 472, together with T'an-yao, who held the position of national director of the clergy, Kinkara translated the Storehouse of Various Treasures Sutra and A History of the Buddha's Successors.
