Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche (1932-1999) was a Tibetan lama born in the Derge region of Kham.

At age five, Rinpoche joined a Sakya monastery where he began his Buddhist studies. At age seventeen, he studied Longchen Nyingthig teachings and Dzogchen at the Nyoshul monastery. In 1959, when he was twenty seven, he fled to India as the Chinese invaded Tibet.

In India, Rinpoche studied under Dudjom Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa.

Some of Rinpoche's students include Lama Surya Das and Sogyal Rinpoche.
