Annotations on the Flower Garland Sutra, 華厳経疏 (Chin Hua-yen-ching-shu; Jpn Kegon-gyo-sho )
An exposition of the eighty-volume version of the Flower Garland Sutra written by Ch'eng-kuan (738-839), the fourth patriarch of the Flower Garland school (Hua-yen) in China.
It is based on a commentary on the sutra by Fa-tsang, Ch'eng-kuan's teacher and the third patriarch of the school.
Ch'eng-kuan later expanded this work and wrote a much longer one titled The Meaning of the Flower Garland Sutra Based on an Earlier Commentary, which is considered a major reference work in the study of this sutra along with Fa-tsang's Delving into the Profundity of the Flower Garland Sutra.
