Jinamitra was an Indian pandit who travelled to Samye Monastery in Tibet at the time of Trisong Deutsen to engage in translation. Jinamitra worked with Jnanagarbha and Devacandra along with other 'translators' (Tibetan: lotsawas), upon the Nirvana Sutra (Tibetan: myang 'das kyi mdo).
