Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old

Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.

ཀུན་བཟང་རྡོར་སེམས་དཔལ་ཆེན་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ །

künzang dorsem palchen heruka

Samantabhadra, Vajrasattva, Palchen Heruka,

རྡོ་རྗེ་ཆོས་དང་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ལས་དབང་མོ། །

dorjé chö dang khandro lé wangmo

Vajradharma, ḍākinī Karmeśvarī,

པྲ་བྷ་ཧསྟི་དྷཱ་ན་སཾ་སྐྲྀ་ཏ། །

prabhahasti dhana samkrita

Prabhāhasti, and Dhānasamskṛta,

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བར་ཆད་གཡུལ་འཇོམས་ཤོག །

sölwa depso barché yül jom shok

to you I pray: may obstacles and strife be overcome!


དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སློབ་དཔོན་ཧཱུྃ་ཀཱ་ར། །

garap dorjé lopön humkara

Garap Dorjé, Ācārya Hūṃkāra,

རྡོ་རྗེ་ཐོད་ཕྲེང་རྩལ་དང་བི་མ་ལ། །

dorjé tötreng tsel dang bimala

Dorjé Tötreng Tsel, Vimalamitra,

བལ་འབངས་ཀ་ལཱ་སིདྡྷི་མཁར་ཆེན་བཟའ། །

bel bang kalasiddhi kharchen za

Nepalese Kalāsiddhi, Princess of Kharchen,

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བར་ཆད་གཡུལ་འཇོམས་ཤོག །

sölwa depso barché yül jom shok

to you I pray: may obstacles and strife be overcome!


ཆོས་རྒྱལ་ཡབ་སྲས་མཆོག་གྱུར་བདེ་ཆེན་གླིང༌། །

chögyel yapsé chokgyur dechen ling

Dharma kings—father and son, Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa,

རྩ་བ་ཡན་ལག་རྒྱུད་ལུང་མན་ངག་གི །

tsawa yenlak gyülung mengak gi

succession of root and branch lineage gurus

བརྒྱུད་པའི་བླ་མ་རིམ་པར་བྱོན་རྣམས་ལ། །

gyüpé lama rimpar jön nam la

of tantra, scripture, and pith instruction,

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བར་ཆད་གཡུལ་འཇོམས་ཤོག །

solwa dep so barché yül jom shok

to you I pray: may obstacles and strife be overcome!


ཐུན་མོང་ཐུན་མིན་སྔོན་འགྲོས་རྒྱུད་སྦྱངས་ཤིང༌། །

tünmong tünmin ngöndrö gyü jang shing

By training our minds through the common and special preliminaries

ལམ་གྱི་དངོས་པོ་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་ཉམས་བླངས་པས། །

lam gyi ngöpo yongdzok nyam langpé

and applying all elements that make up the path,

གདོས་བཅས་ལུས་ལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐུར་སྨིན་ཏེ། །

dö ché lü la yeshé kur min té

may our material bodies ripen into the wisdom kāya,

བདུད་འཇོམས་དཔའ་བོའི་གོ་འཕང་མངོན་འགྱུར་ཤོག །

düjom pawö gopang ngön gyur shok

and may we reach the state of demon-slaying hero!
