༄༅།།རྗེ་དྭགས་པོའི་བླ་མའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་ནོར་བུའི་ཐིག་ལེ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ།
A Drop of Jewels
དབུས་སུ་དྭགས་པོ་ལྷ་ཡི་རྗེ། །
In the center is the Great Physician of Dakpo,
མཉམ་མེད་སྒོམ་པོ་པ་ཆེན་པོ། །
nyammé gompo pa chenpo
The matchless great Gampopa,
དགེ་སློང་བསོད་ནམས་རིན་ཆེན་ཆེ། །
gelong sönam rinchen ché
The eminent bhikṣu Sönam Rinchen,
རྡོ་རྗེ་འཛིན་པ་འཛམ་གླིང་གྲགས། །
The vajra-holder Dzamling Drak.
དཀར་དམར་མདངས་ལྡན་གཟི་བྱིན་ལྡན། །
kar mar dangden zijin den
He has a rosy white complexion and effuses majesty.
བག་དྲོ་ཅུང་ཟད་བསྒྲེས་པའི་ཚུལ། །
bak dro chungzé drepé tsul
He has a cheerful expression and is elderly.
ཟག་མེད་ཏིང་འཛིན་ཉམས་བརྒྱ་འབར། །
He is ablaze with a hundred experiences of undefiled samādhi.
རབ་བྱུང་ཆ་ལུགས་སྒོམ་ཞྭ་བཞེས། །
He wears the attire of a renunciate and a meditation hat.
མཉམ་བཞག་སྟེང་དུ་ལྷུང་བཟེད་འཛིན། །
nyamzhak tengdu lhungzé dzin
With his hands in the mudrā of equipoise, he holds an alms-bowl
འབྲུ་བཅུད་ནོར་བུའི་བཀང་བ་འཛིན། །
dru chü norbü kangwa dzin
Brimful of grains, foods, and jewels.
སྣང་སྟོང་དགྱེས་སྐུ་ལམ་མེར་བཞུགས། །
nangtong gyé ku lammer zhuk
His delightful form – appearing emptiness – is vividly present,
མཚན་དཔེའི་ཞི་འཛུམ་ཡ་ལ་ལ། །
tsenpé zhi dzum ya la la
Adorned with the marks and signs, displaying a peaceful smile.
གྲགས་སྟོང་ཆོས་སྒྲ་ལྷང་ངེ་བ། །
drak tong chö dra lhang ngewa
His voice – audible emptiness – rings out the sounds of Dharma,
རྡོ་རྗེའི་གསུང་དབྱངས་འུ་རུ་རུ། །
dorjé sung yang u ru ru
The ceaseless flow of melodious vajra speech.
རིག་སྟོང་དགོངས་པ་ལྷན་ནེ་བ། །
riktong gongpa lhen newa
His wisdom heart – aware emptiness – vivid and awake,
སྣང་སེམས་གཉིས་མེད་ཟང་ཐལ་ལེ། །
nang sem nyimé zangtal lé
Is the expansive non-duality of appearance and mind.
མཐོང་བས་འཇིག་རྟེན་སྣང་བ་འགགས། །
By seeing his form, all mundane appearances are brought to a halt.
གསུང་ཐོས་འཁྲུལ་སྣང་ཧྲུལ་པོར་གཏོང་། །
sung tö trulnang hrulpor tong
By hearing his voice, all confused experience is cast aside.
དྲན་པས་བདེ་ཆེན་ཡེ་ཤེས་བསྐྱེད། །
drenpé dechen yeshe kyé
By thinking of him, blissful wisdom dawns within.
འོད་ལྔའི་འཇའ་ཟེར་ཐིག་ལེ་དཀྲིགས། །
ö ngé jazer tiklé trik
He is surrounded by rainbows, rays, and bindus of five-coloured light.
ཤར་དུ་དཔལ་ལྡན་དུས་གསུམ་མཁྱེན། །
In the east is the glorious Düsüm Khyenpa,
དུས་གསུམ་མཁྱེན་པ་ཆགས་ཐོགས་བྲལ། །
Who knows all three times without attachment or hindrance.
ལྷོ་རུ་ཁམས་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་རྒྱལ། །
In the south is Dorjé Gyalpo of Kham,
དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་མཛད་སྤྱོད་འཆང་། །
dezhin shekpé dzechö chang
Fulfiller of the Thus-Gone One’s deeds.
ནུབ་ཏུ་འབའ་རོམ་དར་མ་དབང་། །
nub tu ba rom dar ma wang
In the west is Barom Darma Wang,
འཇིག་རྟེན་གསུམ་ན་འགྲན་ཟླ་བྲལ། །
jikten sum na drenda dral
Unequalled throughout the three realms.
བྱང་དུ་རྒྱལ་བ་ཞང་ཚལ་པ། །
In the north is Gyalwa Shang Tsalpa,
གྲུབ་པའི་བརྟུལ་ཞུགས་བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ། །
drubpé tulzhuk sam mikhyab
His feats of accomplishment surpassing thought.
གཡས་སུ་དབོན་སྒོམ་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་སྙིང་། །
To his right is Wön-gom Tsültrim Nying,
གཡོན་དུ་སྒོམ་པ་ཤེར་རྒྱལ་བ། །
To his left Gompa Sher Gyalwa.
ཕྱི་རོལ་ཕྱོགས་དང་ཕྱོགས་མཚམས་ལ། །
chirol chok dang choktsam la
Surrounding them, in the cardinal and intermediate directions,
ཐུགས་སྲས་ཉེ་བའི་བུ་ཆེན་བཞི། །
tuksé nyewé buchen zhi
Are his heart disciples: the four close disciples,
ཞབས་ཏོག་བསྒྲུབ་པའི་སློབ་མ་བཞི། །
zhabtok drubpé lobma zhi
The four disciples of perfect service,
ཤྭ་སྒོམ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེ་སོགས། །
sha gom yeshe dorjé sok
Shagom Yeshé Dorjé and others,
བུ་སློབ་གྲུབ་ཆེན་མང་པོས་བསྐོར། །
bulob drubchen mangpö kor
The entire multitude of his adept students.
དག་པའི་འཁོར་ཚོགས་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་དང་། །
dakpé khor tsok ngabgya dang
Also present are the five hundred of the pure retinue
མ་དག་འཁོར་ཚོགས་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་རྣམས། །
ma dak khor tsok ngabgya nam
And the five hundred of the impure retinue.
ལ་ལས་ཕྱག་བསྐོར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
la lé chak kor solwa deb
Some are prostrating, circumambulating, and praying,
ལ་ལས་ཚོགས་བསགས་སྒྲིབ་སྦྱངས་མཛད། །
la lé tsok sak drib jang dzé
Some are performing accumulation and purification practices,
ལ་ལས་མདོ་རྒྱུད་འཆད་ཉན་མཛད། ༼།མདོ་ཏིང་འཛིན་རྒྱལ་པོ། བཀའ་གདམས་གཞུང་དྲུག སྐྱེས་བུ་གསུམ་གྱི་ལམ་རིམ། རྒྱུད་བླ་མ། བདེ་དགྱེས་གསང་གསུམ་རྣམས་སོ། མཆན།༽
la lé dogyü chenyen dzé
Some are expounding and listening to the Sūtras and Tantras,1
ལ་ལས་ལྷ་ཡི་བསྐྱེད་རིམ་བསྒོམ། །
Some are practicing the generation stage of deity practice,
ལ་ལས་སྔགས་ཀྱི་བཟླས་པ་མཛད། །
la lé ngak kyi depa dzé
Some are performing mantra recitation,
ལ་ལས་ཐབས་ལམ་ཆོས་དྲུག་བསྒོམ། །
Some are training in the six yogas, the path of means,
ལ་ལས་གྲོལ་ལམ་ཕྱག་ཆེན་བསྒོམ། །
la lé drollam chakchen gom
Some are training in the Great Seal, the path of liberation.
ཕལ་ཆེར་རི་ལ་འདག་སྦྱར་མཛད། །
palcher ri la dak jar dzé
Many of them are in sealed retreat in the mountains.
ལ་ལ་བྱ་ལྟར་མཁའ་ལ་ལྡིང་། །
la laja tar kha la ding
Some are soaring through the air like birds,
ལ་ལ་ཆུ་ལ་ཉ་ལྟར་འཕྱོ། །
la la chu la nya tar cho
Some are coursing through water like fish,
ལ་ལ་རི་བྲག་ཟང་ཐལ་རྒྱུ། །
Some are passing through mountains unhindered,
ལ་ལ་ལྷན་སྐྱེས་ཆེན་པོར་འབྱམས། །
la la lhenkyé chenpor jam
Some are immersed in the great co-emergence,
ལ་ལས་སྤྲུལ་བསྒྱུར་སྣ་ཚོགས་སྟོན། །
la lé trul gyur natsok tön
Some are displaying an array of emanations,
ལ་ལར་ཟག་མེད་མངོན་ཤེས་འཆར། །
la lar zakmé ngönshé char
Some are manifesting untainted higher perceptions.
སྟེང་དུ་བཞེད་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལ། །
tengdu zhepa dorjé la
Above him is Shepa Dorjé2
གྲུབ་ཐོབ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་སྤྲིན་ཕུང་འཕྲོ། །
drubtob gyatsö trinpung tro
With oceans of mahāsiddhas gathered like cloud-banks.
བར་དུ་འཁོར་ལོ་སྡོམ་པ་ལ། །
bardu khorlo dompa la
In the middle is Cakrasaṃvara
འཁོར་ལོ་གསུམ་གྱི་ཆར་སྤྲིན་འཁྲིགས། །
khorlo sum gyi chartrin trik
With host of the deities of the three chakras dense as rain clouds.
འོག་ཏུ་མ་མགོན་ལྕམ་དྲལ་ལ། །
oktu magön chamdral la
Below are the Male and Female Protector and their retinue
མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་བུ་ཡུག་འཚུབས། །
With a blizzard of ḍākinīs and Dharma protectors.
ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿམ་ཧཱ་གུ་རུ་པུཎྱེ་རཏྣ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུཾ།
om ah maha guru punyé ratna siddhi hung
oṃ āḥ mahā guru puṇye ratna siddhi hūṃ
ཞེས་པ་འདི་དྭགས་ལྷ་སྒམ་པོར་གསེང་ལམ་བླ་སྒྲུབ་ཚོགས་བརྒྱ་བགྱིས་སྐབས་ལམ་ཙམ་དང་། །དེ་ནས་ཡུན་རིང་སོང་སྐབས་ཕྱིས་སུ་པདྨ་ཕྲིན་ལས་སྙིང་པོའམ་ཀརྨ་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྒྱ་མཚོས་རྗེ་སྒམ་པོ་པའི་དུས་གསུམ་རྣམ་ཐར་ལ་ཡིད་ལ་བྱས་ཏེ་དད་པས་སྦྱར་བའོ། །
This was written with faith by Pema Trinlé Nyingpo, also known as Karma Trinlé Gyatso. He initially wrote it while performing the guru yoga for Gampopa, this secret path of the Great Physician of Dakpo, together with a hundred gathering-offerings. Much later, he revisited the text while recalling Gampopa’s liberating life-story of past, present, and future.
