Chattrayashti; chattra. ; (the chattravali or chattrayashti crowning a stupa); Umbrella-like (from Hindu for umbrella, chatta) form on a horizontal slab carried by a post (chattrayashti), which, if supporting three umbrellas set each above the other, is termed chattravali. Indian Revival or Hindoo architecture may have pavilion-like forms (chavada) on which chatris are set.
