志遠 (768–844) (PY Zhiyuan; JpnShi’on)
A priest of the T'ient'ai school in China. At Mount Wu-t'ai he studied the T'ient'ai doctrine and practiced the Lotus meditation, a meditation based on the Lotus Sutra. Jikaku, later the third chief priest of the Japan.
