The three ways of pleasing or serving the teacher (Tib. མཉེས་པ་གསུམ་, Wyl. mnyes pa gsum) are:
- offering our practice (best way)
- offering service with body and speech (middling way)
- material offerings (lowest way)
Jokyab Rinpoche writes: "The [latter two] perfect the accumulation of merit and the [first] the accumulation of wisdom."[1]
