Four Sections of Magical Illusion
Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia is now 14 years old
Our Encyclopedia recently received a wonderful opportunity for a major renewal on its 14th birthday . After many years of growing our Encyclopedia had become bit slow and sometimes even decided not to answer when people knocked on the door.
A very big thank you and blessings to Dmytro Rudiy (rudiy.nl) for his great work in upgrading the server, website and all of the infrastructure and helping make TBE fast and reliable again for everyone!
We kindly ask our readers to help us cover the cost of this important upgrade and also help with the ongoing costs of keeping the Encyclopedia alive and freely available.

The Four Sections of Magical Illusion (Wyl. sgyu 'phrul sde bzhi) correspond to the division into four of the Web of Magical Illusion tantras. According to the Omniscient Longchenpa, they are:[1]
- Vajrasattva's Magical Illusion (རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་དྲྭ་བ་), the explanation that the phenomena of samsara and nirvana are inseparable as self-appearances
- Vairochana's Magical Illusion (རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་དྲྭ་བ་), the explanation of extensive various activities
- Goddess' Magical Illusion (ལྷ་མོ་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་དྲྭ་མ་), the explanation of union
- Great Net of Manjushri's Magical Illusion (འཇམ་དཔལ་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་དྲྭ་བ་ཆེན་མོ), the explanation that is relevant to all vehicles
