Uruvilva Kashyapa
優楼頻螺迦葉 (Skt; Pali UruvelaKassapa; Jpn Uru-binra-kasho)

One of Shakyamuni Buddha's early converts. Before conversion, he is said to have practiced fire worship. When the Buddha went to Uruvilvato preach, UruvilvaKashyapa, together with his two brothers, NadiKashyapa and GayaKashyapa, became his follower. All three brothers were leaders among Brahman ascetics, and when UruvilvaKashyapa converted, his five hundred disciples followed suit.
