The Secret Three Jewels

From Tibetan Buddhist Encyclopedia
Jump to navigation Jump to search

By Khentrul Rinpoché Jamphel Lodrö

7.08 So, the subject we’re talking is refuge, for three jewel. Refuge in three jewels. So we talk about external three jewels, and then we talk about Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, and then we talk about the root three jewels, lama, yidam, khandro. So, there is secret three jewels as well. So that and when we say, when we say first, in the beginning we take refuge, we say take refuge external three jewels. And we say take refuge internal three jewels or we say take refuge the causes of three jewels. Or we say the result of three jewels, remember.

So this result of three jewels, which means our Buddha nature and this secret three jewels is very much the same. So to understand this level is, you taking refuge, whether you say the result of the three jewels or you can say the secret of three jewels. Depending what subject you talking about. Depending what context with you, you with. So for instance if you are sutrayana context then you say the result of three jewels, the result three jewels. And when you are tantrayana context and then you say the secret three jewels. But they are very much the same meaning, is your Buddha nature.

So in tantrayana, nature is the most profound things connecting with your ordinary, you know, existence, so that is tantrayana. How to say, personality? Or characteristic. So for this reason we say this secret three jewels we say, our channels, chakras, the movements and the essence. You know some texts say drops but that not very helpful translation. Another way we can say, are the structure of our body and the circulation of our body, if you say very roughly. On gross level we can say the structure of body, and the circulation of our body and the fluid, you know, provide the energy of our body. This three is really secret three jewels. But if you talking a little bit refined them, a little bit more refined way, if you want to talk, then you wouldn’t say the structure of your body. And we try to say, this channels, the subtle channels, maybe we should say the subtle channels. Something beyond our human eye and human sensation. Even probably beyond scientific, how to say, experience. So beyond that, the channels.

12.34

So when we say channels, you have to think of… if you have no idea what you’re talking about then you think about the first one, body structure, our channels, our veins in our body. Our blood move everywhere, circulate everywhere. Just think of that, so similar, is a little bit similar way, in subtle level. You just have to think that. And not only just structure, the subtle structure of body.

But also we have that movements and functionality at the subtle level. So that you can think of as wind. Usually in Buddhism they say channels, winds, drops, they say this. So that, this functionality you can think of the subtle functionality for ordinary, very ordinary people, it’s just like air in potential way. Is stay in as like potential. The potential of the subtle functionality.

And then the drops, usually we say the drops, then we have to, what is means, so the subtle liquid maybe in our body. Not the obvious level of liquid but more subtle level of, how say, liquid or you can say something like, I don’t know, I wish I had more vocabulary to play with. But more essence of your…yer the essence. Essence we can say best way. We cannot say properly.

14.52

So these three is your secret three jewels. Why secret three jewels? If you practise very well with these three, you know, three existence in your, in our body, and then our mind also have better functionality, better capacity and…so we have more capacity to practice, to free from this samsara. And even there is way like…we living in the samsara…if other people look at you and you are just like ordinary person and you do everyday ordinary things, but in your world, your own world, your own experiencing, is, this much brighter than non-practitioners. So if that way, we are the…we taking refuge, the secret three jewels.

So if we have actual experience with these three secret three jewels, then is excellent but even you haven’t got that capacity yet, but still if you have idea of this, and you have wish and inspiration and even prayer and try to remind yourself, you have this way of practise and there is possibility of this way of practise, is start, steps toward, to this high tantrayana practise. So for this reason, there is no reason anybody can’t start from, you know. So you can start. Anybody can start. You can start first, trust and inspiration. And then slowly be mindful and diligent. So anybody can have those. There is no reason you can’t have this at all. So if you see some reasons, that reason is not valid. So whatever level of practitioner, we can start, we can at least try to understand the three levels of three jewels, is good.

So that’s why we say the essence of tantrayana practise, in simple way, is pure perception. We say pure perception, so is not just pure perception for others, but also pure perception for yourself, your own body structure, you know, subtle level of this structure and functionality, as try to remind yourself as three jewels. So that means you already have that three jewels, you already possess these three jewels, as part of your Buddha nature, you now, part of your Buddha nature ok.

So another way you can say, three aspect of your Buddha nature, your own Buddha nature. So just reminding yourself is that. Or prayer for that is already practising three jewels. So, even three jewels, not just three jewels, but three jewels even more profound level. You try to understand more profound level. So more profound level means should be more powerful than we just remembering historical Buddha as person and calling him, say “please try to help me” you know, should be more powerful than that. So that is secret three jewels, simple way.

21.19

So, you know we taking refuge three jewels. We have three precepts, something you abandon, something you have to adopt and then additional three. This nine precepts, so we are going to talk about this first. The three things you abandon. Hopefully we didn’t already discuss. But I am going to talk about briefly anyway.

The first one we say, oh I remember maybe I already talk, but today I talk very briefly, maybe we talk quite enough last time. So the first one, in Tibetan tradition, text say…(@ 22.41 uses Tib term). If you read this directly the translation say, if you take refuge the Buddha, you would not pay respect, or pay homage, would not pay homage to the worldly beings. Ok worldly beings, which means like high gods, like Hindu gods, kind of like that. They say like you not pay homage, you not prostrate. So that’s could put be interpreted wrong way, misinterpreted, many ways possible. So this need a little bit explanation. Which means you not take refuge in samsaric beings, no matter how high in samsara like gods, you know like those. You would not take refuge to purpose to reach Buddhahood basically. To purpose of free from samsara. So it is easy to understand because themselves not free from samsara. Yes they are much higher than you but still is not free from samsara. So for this reason, you should not give full heart to purpose, to reach Buddhahood or to reach nirvana. Either way you would not, means that.

The second one say, if you practice refuge to the dharma, you never harm a sentient being. So that’s also not that simple. So ok, I take refuge dharma so I cannot yell anybody, I cannot even get rid of ants from my kitchen or even mosquito bite me, I cannot kill them, or anything like those things, is too simple and too hard. So what means? What means to me personally, so dharma, practice dharma, take refuge dharma means it’s just practising dharma. You know you have commitments to practice dharma, for sake of yourself really. We say sake of all sentient beings but sake of sentient beings, you have motivation for sake of sentient beings, it is, it is sake of yourself anyway. So, to practice dharma for sake of yourself, your own benefits, not only your own benefits but mainly your own benefits. Your main goal is no harm any sentient being, on the top of this, you can more benefit sentient beings than right now, in this stage of yourself, that is our goal. So you just have to remember that and never forget that, I think that is the matter.

27.28

But if you narrow down this too much, you forgot your main goal, and then you cannot say even one harsh word to anybody, even for good purpose because you think “I am take refuge dharma so I cannot harm any sentient being. If I say this word, hurt his person, make this person angry, upset”, that’s 100% not correct. Because may upset this person yes, but can you benefits more than, you know…yer we have to…yer upset.

But you work hard every day, even you don’t want to get up in the morning, you get up and you sacrifice your sleeping and you go and work and you sacrifice your holiday and you sacrifice your, what you call, your relaxing and you sacrifice enjoyment, travelling the world, however you would like things, you sacrifice all of them, you do. You try to benefit something bigger. So for this reason, maybe possible we harm a little bit sentient being, a little bit, for bigger benefits, for purpose of bigger benefits. Not necessarily maybe you breaking vow of the you know, harming sentient being, not harming sentient being. For this reason the most important, you just remember your main goal. So you main goal is to benefit all sentient being, not harm sentient being. So if you harm sentient being purposefully, mindlessly and selfishly, then is so clear it is not dharma at all. It is opposite dharma. So that is obvious. So you just remember that I think.

30.29

So that means if somebody…there is animal suffering, great suffering, and somebody 100% motivation, stop their suffering, so kill them. You are dharma practitioner, you kill them. But you have zero hatred. Even sometimes your pets, let’s say your pet’s, very, very sick and suffer, so you going to put down, you call put down. You try be nice, nice word you’re using (laughs), put down. So you want to put down. But sometimes your motivation is not that correct because you want to put down because basically you cannot bear, you cannot bear this animal suffer in front of you. So that means could be termed as selfish. You think is altruistic but is could be sometimes, because you can’t bear, so that’s why if gone then better for you, so you don’t have to bear this, you don’t have to watch of this. But if is not that case, you just want 100%, this animal doesn’t want to suffer, so you really believe you stop the suffering if I euthanasia, and then, you do that.

Is that right or wrong? Is that harm sentient being or not? Probably not, probably not if you’re 100% sure there is no selfish, tiny selfish in it, 1, 2, 3 %. Then I would not put in harm sentient being. But still, I cannot advise you should kill them. Never ever, never ever advise. From your motivation, maybe not harm sentient being. Depending your motivation is 100% pure or not, really. Is there any laziness or you know, impatience, intolerance, mixing or not. But regardless this, I cannot advise, “yes, you kill them better”. Why? Because this is not decision based on advice. If you have this motivation, if you check your own motivation is 100% pure and then you decide, you kill them, you kill them. If after you kill them somebody ask my opinion, “is that harm sentient being and completely opposite the dharma practise?” I say, I guess no, but I can’t, I don’t have authority to say “oh no, definitely not 100%” ok?

But I cannot advise, yes, you kill them you should stop their suffering. I cannot advise this. Why? Because we don’t know this animal have…animal’s karma. If we stop this suffering, this rebirth and bardo, even have more suffering or less, we don’t know. This is only based on somebody who don’t believe in next life. Don’t believe karma. For them yes, you kill them, so there gone, there gone, they not exist, if not exist then there suffer is not exist. But somebody believe next life, karma, you cannot advise, impossible. Because sometimes, sometimes let’s say, you have karma to experience hungry ghost rebirth, which means 100 times worse than human, but you did another good merit so this good merit minimise your, this particular karma to hungry ghost to be reborn hungry ghost or hell or whatever. Only turns animals sickness, animals suffering, and human suffering. If that case, you stop that (laughs), maybe not very good stop, we don’t know. So basically, basically these things is hidden, very hidden phenomena, not just hidden but very hidden phenomena. For this reason nobody can advise, so just have to go your own decision. So you make own decision the most important you check you motivation and your laziness and your tolerance and all of them.

37.16

So then you decide, after you decide, nobody can judge you, I can’t judge you, “oh you harmed sentient being? You killed your pets? You broke precepts of refuge? Because you know, practice dharma, you never harmed sentient being, you harmed you killed” I can’t say this, I can’t judge you, nobody can judge you. So that is entirely your own decision, ok. Because your motivation, everything is more obvious than yourself, than anybody else, not anybody else. You should be obvious…if you cannot judge yourself, nobody else. Impossible. Ok so that’s why when we say if you take refuge dharma you not harm any sentient being is not very clear, but if we think carefully, harm sentient being purposefully and practice dharma is opposite. So who doing this or not doing this is very hard to judge by vision, physical. Physical, and verbal, that level, nobody can judge. Always better to judge yourself. That’s my conclusion.

Ok then say, practise, take refuge to the sangha, you would not participate, you will not participate with other friends (laughs), I think we talk that a lot last week, so we don’t talk too much today. So that is very unclear isn’t it. So that means you cannot have any friends unless dharma practitioner, and you know. Not only just humans, but also not humans. People have prayers and protectors, you know, they’re kind of your friends. Especially Tibet, so many spirits. Mountain spirits, rock spirit, lake spirit, water spirit, tree spirit, a lot. So every village have a particular one. They are, you have to treat them as your friends, different friends. Not dharma friends, but different friends. Ok that’s enough tonight that one, because we talk a lot last week.

40.48

So, and then what three things you have to adopt. Adopt. First, …(@ 41.02 uses Tib term). So, if you take refuge Buddha, you have to have, you know great respect, inspiration and dedication. Not Buddha need your dedication, but you need dedication to the Buddha for unveiling your own Buddha. Your own Buddha nature. For this reason, the consequence what will happen, whether you have great respect for the Buddha or not. Or another way language, do you have really great confidence your own Buddha nature or not, depending on Buddha images, drawing’s, statues, sculpture, any kind of Buddha images. You have special feeling. If you have no special feeling, that means you don’t have that much confident yet. You not have that confident yet, doesn’t mean you will not be forever. So don’t give up hope. And try to generate the special feeling to the Buddha, even images, even images.

What will happen, what will happen the consequence you have special feelings? Then you treat them specially. You not treat them like handbag, your mobile phone, your shoes, your wallet,. You wouldn’t treat like that. So you treat them very special way. Whatever special way for you. Maybe don’t have to wash everyday but you know. So probably the washing is not maybe…but in your way if it is, that’s up to you (laughs), I’m just joking. If your way of treating Buddha image very well, you have to wash image everyday in the washing machine, have to be clean every day. I would not recommend that, but if you do I still respect what you do, because the most important your feeling and your effort. It is not somebody judge, “oh no that is wrong”. So for this reason, even you put Buddha image in the toilet, because you think this is the most appropriate time, because I only have that time to I relax. All the other time I am busy, then I still respect that. That’s what I’m saying. So I used to judge by this a lot but now I realise I should not judge that way. This is good some put. Student…not in the toilet. Toilet room, wash room.

So, did I say the other day, the Tibetan boy, five year old Tibetan boy, he so upset because he saw somebody put Buddha image in the garden. So he think that is really playing Buddha image. You treat like toy, your Buddha image. Even five years old boy, already have that cultural, one way cultural respect. So the Tibetans said they told me, when he see Buddha image in the garden, then I told him don’t worry, more than that, you can see them in the toilet room. You can see them at the door steps, everywhere I said. But their motivation is pure. Is not suit for our culture. So that what I told him. So the most important is your motivation, you know, your feeling. And second, maybe you try to be fit in the culture, Tibet, not Tibetan but Buddhism culture. Is better because if you know there culture is better, because you are followers of the Buddha, so the original, how you say, where Buddhism come from, their culture is worth to know. A way of these people, way of people think.

47.17

Ok so that’s enough. Basically you have to…oh, we were talking about Buddha image, we meant to be talking the s angha isn’t it. Student – you started to talk about what to adopt. Oh yes yes. That’s why, so that’s basically you treat very well. So I tell you a story. I think we have in the book but I think I just tell you anyway. So in Tibetan culture, in general, the most worst, dirty thing is your shoe. Ok. And then, the most important, the holy object. So then somebody make …(@48.04 uses Tibetan term). Somebody have good motivation and makes… or I should make…so make…with clay. So he leave somewhere and another person saw this and “oh, this nice…but it is raining so it will be washed away. That is so precious, should not be washed away.” He want to put something on but couldn’t find anything else rather than…(@ 48.35 uses Tib term) which means the part of shoe bottom, sole of shoe. So that in generally, 100% wrong to put on the holy object, that’s the most, the worst. But he thought he must put because, probably thought better than wash away and disappear. So in his…maybe he exceptional Tibetan so he chose that to put on the top. (laughs) And then the next person saw this and he thought “oh my god! This is unbelievable (laughs). Somebody made huge bad karma. I’m sorry for him” and he straight away he took and throw away”. So these three people have huge good karma. They different actions but same good motivation, that’s why is ok you put anywhere (laughs). If you don’t want to chose Buddhist way.

50.08

Ok and then if you practise dharma, then same way, you know, your dharma texts all things you have to respect more than any other object. Whatever way of your practise. Whatever way of your respect. If you don’t have particular way and then you have to follow Buddhist culture way. Ok which means never put down, lower, nothing put on the top. Never ever walk over never, never, never, never, ever (laughs). That is the most difficult for you guys I know (laughs). Easy for you not step on, easy for you. Not put on the dirty, easy for you. Not put anything on the top, a little bit hard, but not walk over, very difficult for you. I mean difficult to remember. (laughs). Because you mind, “oh what is matter, even I didn’t touch, I walk over. There is plenty space with my feet and the text” so doesn’t matter for your mind (laughs). But the Buddhist culture that is the worst thing they can see ok. I told you a million times probably, so now you should remember. I hope you didn’t walk over in Ladakh (laughs).

Ok so, and then…oh instead you respect a lot, put in high position like that, and make special case, beautiful incense, nice smell. You can put perfume if you want, on the text (laughs). The most you loved perfume you can put. Some things you not really like but you thinks good. This smell not really necessary. I like but maybe good for text, like incense, something you know, different culture…Buddhist smell things you don’t really like personally but maybe good for text.

Ok. So in same way you know like, sangha, sangha. If you take refuge sangha then you have to respect. Pay respect not just respect in the mind, you also pay respect to the sangha. Ok what I have to do? Ok. What you have to do is whatever way you treat more, more than normal person. You treat better than your friends, better than your colleagues, you treat better than strangers and you treat better than your family. Treat ok, not dedicate more than your family, but you treat better then, because you only have to treat in short time so you have to treat much better than your family. So whatever your way.

So who is sangha then? What do you mean which one sangha? This in generally, sangha means who has precepts. Monk, fully ordained monk, that is high in the vinaya way, is high senior monk. Nun, same. And then novice monk or nun, that is second. Then third g…(@ 54.41 uses Tib term) so g….have many many many categorise, so I will probably we don’t go details of that. On the top of this, somebody have base, this all vinaya, you know this vinaya precepts is best. So and in Chinese called t…(@ 55.07 uses Chinese term) …means you left home, you have no home, basically ok. Who has no home, that is in Tibetan called r…(@ 55.20 uses Tib term). That is novice monk or fully ordained monk. Know this all monks have home, that’s the problem (laughs). But you meant to be have no home really, ok. And anyway even they home, even they have home if they have root vows, root precepts they taking and they keeping, that means they are monk, they are t…(uses same Chinese term), we have to count as t ……. you have to count as r…. …(uses same term as @ 55.20). So then after that g…(uses same term as @ 54.41) many many g….. you can count, lay people can take g….. so that is why you can count as lay person. But g….. have many levels so we not go into details now. But even g….. lay person g….. or r…….or fully ordained, either way.

On the top of this you have bodhisattva precepts and tantrayana precepts, that even make you even higher. So let’s say Theravada monk, fully ordained, yes, so you are lay person, ok, I say, I put Leanne. Leanne is not monk, not nun, but she has g…. precepts, not the highest g….. precepts maybe but second highest. Let’s pretending ok, pretending or real, either way, she has that, so the monk, theravada monk, he doesn’t have bodhisattva precepts, I’m not saying all theravada monks don’t have bodhisattva precepts, I’m not saying this ok, but if they didn’t, ok. And then you have no tantrayana precepts and, which one higher? But Leanne have that vinaya level, she has only second level of g….. and on the top this she kept very well, bodhisattva, 18 vows, and 46 branches and tantrayana vows and Kalachakra, everything she kept so well. Which one higher you think? (laughs) Reality, she is higher than monk. But in social aspect, you have to pay respect to the monk? Why. Why? Because Leanne’s quality in the mind, not outside. On outside she is not perfect mindful, not perfect, and she still drink alcohol and many things (laughs). So it is really strange a monk respect this woman. And is very strange for people and this make causes many other conflicts, ok. But the physical level, the verbal level, the star of life, the monk looks much purer. More mindful, speech, everything disciplined. It is respectable, he inspire, make people inspire. Because they don’t see Leanne’s mind. They don’t see how much quality holding.

1.00.05

So that’s why. In social respect, she still pay respect to monk, pay respect and she offer them food, not they offer her food. If you need something clean, she clean. Anything work she do, anything easy, go give him. Kind of like that. She can do that no problem. Is nothing wrong she do this, even good thing to do this. For monk, can he receive all of them? Let’s say your entire life this bodhisattva lay people worship you all the time, you don’t even have Bodhicitta in your mind. Ok, I’m saying only just pretending one monk. He doesn’t have Bodhicitta and doesn’t have anything, outside precepts. Not inside precepts, that’s what I’m saying. If this receive this gift, offering, all respect, everything, dedication, is good for this monk? Question mark. I don’t know, I can’t decide yet. Is still good for the bodhisattva lay people, oh yer. Is even better than you do these things for normal people or do this monk? Oh yes, still you do this monk, even better, you earn even more merit, yes. Why? Because this monk externally is pure. He doesn’t do drink, doesn’t do stealing, many many other things he has commitment, he do this and he doing this. But more importantly, externally, people can see that. That’s even more important. So if you do this respect everything is appropriate, you know. So like that anyway. So now you know what a sangha means.

Are we a sangha, you lay people? Are you a sangha? As long as you have precepts, then yes. If you don’t have any precepts, no commitments, your dharma classes and dharma practise only just going like club. You just go clubs, football, anything. Go movie, some kind of like your, what you call, your…I forgot the name. Your favourite, not favourite…. student…like a hobby? HOBBY! I cannot remember that. If your dharma practise is just hobby then is questionable you are not really sangha yet. Sangha have to be group any way. One person cannot be sangha you remember. One person cannot be sangha unless you are Arya being. When you are Arya being, one person is sangha. Until Arya being, you are sangha member, as long as you have precepts, commitments, dedication, then you are sangha member. If you don’t have this, you are not sangha member, you just club member. (laughs). Group member, your peer group, whatever you call, team member. So you can sign up anytime no problem. Ok. You can disconnect anytime.

So, oh, ok. That is six so now last three. Can’t remember what last three really. According to text, probably different texts have different meaning. So I going to talk today what I think the most important three, maybe be matched in the text, maybe not matched but still worth to think about. So the most important, whatever three, you know we have nine level of three jewels, within these three level, nine types of three jewels. Whatever is your level, in your mind these three jewels, most important for me and you don’t looking for any other protectors. You don’t look for any other rescuers. This is in your mind, this is the best rescuer, protector, to take refuge for me. If that is completely convinced in your mind, develop confidence, you don’t take any other sources, that’s one. Very important

1.07.18

When we say this, ok, is that means if I am sick, should I not seeking doctor, medicine, surgery. Just prayer three jewels instead? You may think that. Because sounds like that. But my personal understanding, no. You can take any kind of protection, if it is obvious to be, could be protection, could be worth the seek. You can seek anything, no problem. Ok, then isn’t that means contradictory, what you said before. You cannot seek anything else except three jewels? So then I have to explain you. I say, no, when you seek doctor, medicine, surgery, any kind of, healthy food, exercise, anything, money, anything. Those all secondary, you just remember those all secondary.

Your karma, you already done, is primary. And then three jewels, your own Buddha nature three jewels, more important than external three jewels. But in this stage, your karma is still primary. But could you change your karma? Yes, that’s why you need three jewels, that’s why you need prayer, that’s why you need faith, that’s why you need create good karma. Karma is not just already done, you cannot do any more. Karma you is everyday doing so, you direct to the good karma now. So that means if your karma not completed 100% yet, to this sickness, it will help. That means your believing three jewels, it will definitely help. And you prayer and remembering three jewels even more help. Your medicine, yes help, but more your prayer and your dedication to the three jewels, more beyond, helping indirectly from behind your doctor, behind your medicine. Not is like directly like your doctor or pain killer is not like that. Is you know is working from behind, back ground working for you, find the right doctor, find the right medicine, helping doctor not mistaking and giving wrong medicine.

Similarly any other work, any other protectors, yes. If you want to for instance we need to buy land, we have to have money and we have to have bank. So doesn’t mean we don’t need bank, we have three jewels. Three jewels put money in tomorrow here, on the table. Is not that. Is also not, we talking to bank, say we give you three jewels. We don’t have money but we give you three jewels, then is ok. Is not that, but today we try to get loan so we did prayer. It will help, it will help but doesn’t make guarantee. That’s the problem. People think help and guarantee, they mixed everything, and if there’s no guarantee ten times, then they think three jewels is hopeless protectors are hopeless. Even karma is not working, that is big, big, big wrong view, ok. (laughs). So you have to think a million conditions, so millions conditions together have to match, everything to happen. So that’s why.

You not seeking anything else basically to find the, you know good doctor, find the good medicine, find the good surgery, find the money, loan, find the good partner, or anything. You would not prayer worldly protector or anything, rather than three jewels. Means that. You think maybe this mountain, spirit, better than three jewels. You know this Shugden, this karmapa prayer, that one is better than maybe three jewels. Not that, not think that way. Always three jewels is everything, there is nothing superior. Especially my own three jewels, my own Buddha nature. That is the most important.

1.14.30

And then secondary conditions, you can have anything you can try, anything you want. So that means that. So in the refuge Tibetan, Buddhism refuge, sometimes they say…(@ 1.14.46 use Tib term), you not ask your father, you not ask your mother, you not finding any other god, or spirit, you just ask these three jewels. They say these things. That also could be confusing. You can ask your father, you can ask your mother, you can ask your partner to advise, anything, but that doesn’t mean you abandon three jewels. You not putting father before three jewels. Your father is human so you have access directly so you asking him, but you’re hoping the three jewels behind us, communicating with my father, my mind, father’s advice, everything there, so you have to think that way. Anyway I think it’s a little bit late. Oh that’s one. So basically you trust Buddha, number one, the three jewels number one. Everything else you think secondary help, that’s important.

And second you not abandon three jewels for anything. If somebody say “I give you a trillion dollars if you abandon three jewels”. You can pretend abandon (laughs) but you can’t, you can’t ok. So you don’t abandon for anything, no. Genuinely abandon, not for anything. That is Chinese communists did to Tibetans as well. Maybe they didn’t Chinese Buddhist as well who knows. So they say “oh you have to give up this”. Some people say don’t and some monk jumping in the river. They sacrifice their own life rather than give up three jewels, but if like me, I would say “yer, yer, yer, no problem” (laughs) but in my mind no, no, you can’t force my mind, but I can say yes, yes no problem. I couldn’t jump in the river, you know too selfish (laughs) so, what do you do?

So anyway so, the other thing, you always remember three jewels, that’s what I’m saying. Buy clothes, offer three jewels first. Buy jewellery, offer three jewels first. Eating food, do that first. Anything. Even if you see nice scenery, nice shop, window shopping, nice garden. Anything, anything! Anything even if your saw handsome guy, “oh wow, he is so handsome, I offer three jewels” Same. Same woman, so. Guys should be remember, “this girl is stunning, I offer three jewels”. Make this habit (laughs). Maybe this help you get them, if you did this, but don’t think that way, if you don’t think that way and then less. I shouldn’t say it. Ok. So. We do practise. If too fast maybe you can do English, only 10 min we have.
